1 ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

1.1 Your access to and use of CV CHECKER LTD ("the Website") and any Services referred to in Clause 2, is subject exclusively to these Terms and Conditions. You will not use the Website/Services for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms and Conditions. By using the Website/Services you are fully accepting the terms, conditions and disclaimers contained in this notice. If you do not accept these Terms and Conditions you must immediately stop using the Website/Services.

1.2 We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time and your continued use of the Website/Services following any changes shall be deemed to be your acceptance of such change. It is therefore your responsibility to check the Terms and Conditions regularly for any changes.

2 THE SERVICES

The Website may provide communication tools such as email, bulletin boards, chat areas, news groups, forums and/or other message or communication facilities ("the Services") designed to enable you to communicate with others. Unless stated otherwise the Services are for your personal and non-commercial use only.

3 CHILD SUPERVISION

We are concerned about the safety and privacy of our users, particularly children. Parents who wish to allow their children access to and use of the Website/Services should supervise such access and use. By allowing your child access to the Services you are allowing your child access to all of the Services, including email, bulletin boards, chat areas, news groups, forums and/or other message or communication facilities. It is therefore your responsibility to determine which Services are appropriate for your child. Always use caution when revealing personally identifiable information about yourself or your children via any of the Services.

4 USER ACCOUNT, PASSWORD AND SECURITY

If a particular Service requires you to open an account you will be required to complete the registration process by providing certain information and registering a username and password for use with that Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the username and password and also for all activities which take place under your account. You agree to immediately notify us of any unauthorised use of your password or account or any other breach of security. In no event will CV CHECKER LTD be liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damage whatsoever resulting from the disclosure of your username and/or password. You may not use another person’s account at any time, without the express permission of the account holder.

5 ACCEPTABLE USE

5.1 You acknowledge that all information, text, graphics, logos, photographs, images, moving images, sound, illustrations and other materials ("the Content"), whether posted publicly or transmitted privately, are the sole responsibility of the person from whom such Content originated. We do not control or endorse the Content and cannot guarantee the accuracy, integrity or quality of such Content and you acknowledge that by using the Services you may be exposed to Content that is offensive and/or indecent. CV CHECKER LTD will not be liable in any way for any Content or for any loss or damage of any kind resulting from the use of any Content transmitted via the Services and you agree to bear all risks associated with the use of any Content, including any reliance on the accuracy or completeness of such Content.

5.2 In using the Website/Services you agree not to:

5.2.1 use the Services to send junk email, spam, chain letters, pyramid schemes or any other unsolicited messages, commercial or otherwise;

5.2.2 post, publish, distribute or disseminate material or information that is defamatory, infringing, obscene, indecent, threatening, abusive, harassing or unlawful;

5.2.3 post, publish, distribute or disseminate material or information that incites discrimination, hate or violence towards any person or group on account of their race, religion, disability, nationality or otherwise;

5.2.4 threaten, abuse, disrupt, stalk or otherwise violate the legal rights (including rights of privacy and publicity) of others;

5.2.5 use any information or material in any manner that infringes any copyright, trademark, patent or other proprietary right of any party;

5.2.6 make available or upload files that contain a virus, worm, trojan or corrupt data that may damage the operation of the computer or property of another;

5.2.7 collect or store personal information about others, including email addresses;

5.2.8 advertise or offer to buy or sell goods or services for any commercial purpose, unless such communication facility specifically allows such messages;

5.2.9 impersonate any person or entity for the purpose of misleading others;

5.2.10 violate any applicable laws or regulations;

5.2.11 use the Website/Services in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden or impair the Website/Services or interfere with any other party’s use and enjoyment of the Website/Services;

No material appearing on the Site may be disseminated in any form, either electronic or non-electronic, nor included in any retrieval system or service without the prior written permission of CV Checker Limited and the payment of a specified fee.
Once purchased, CV’s downloaded through the CV Builder are the property of the user and may be transmitted freely, in any form for personal and non-personal use.

1. CV CHECKER LTD is committed to protecting your privacy and maintaining the security of any personal information received from you. We strictly adhere to the requirements of the data protection legislation in the UK.

The purpose of this statement is to explain to you what personal information we collect and how we may use it.

2 When you create your CV/Cover Letter with us, we will collect information from you, such as your name, address, age, sex, email address etc. This allows us to produce your CV/Cover Letter.

3 We may use this information to send you details about important changes to the site or service, and all the information you submit to us will be available to recruitment agencies who have contracts with us. We will not allow anyone to view your details without your express permission.

None of the information you submit to us will be passed to any persons that are not related with the recruitment process.

4 We follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of information which you have given us, to prevent unauthorised access in accordance with the UK data protection legislation.

We do not collect sensitive information about you except when you specifically knowingly provide it. In order to maintain the accuracy of our database, you can check, update or remove your personal details by at anytime.

We use a technology called "session cookies" as part of a normal business procedure to track you throughout our website. A session cookie is an element of data that our Website sends to your browser which is then temporarily stored on your system. This cookie is automatically deleted if you shut your browser or within 20 minutes after you leave our website. You need to have cookies enabled on your browser in order to use our website.

5 Payments for products are made via a secure line administered by Worldpay Ltd. Credit card payments are confidential to this agency and not accessed by CV Checker Ltd.

CV CHECKER FULFILMENT POLICY

AVAILABLE FOR THE FOLLOWING SERVICE:

Professional CV Service
CV Checker offer a seven day fulfilment guarantee on the above service, whereby for the 7 days following delivery, you may, free of charge, send one Alteration Request, detailing any number of alterations you would like made. Please email info@cvchecker.com outlining specific alterations you require & exact wording you would like to replace the text. Alterations will be carried out within 7 days.

DISTANCE SELLING REGULATIONS FOR ALL SERVICES LISTED:
The supply of services and personalised goods, as outlined in Distance Selling Regulations 13, "the consumer will not have the right to cancel the contract by giving notice of cancellation pursuant to regulation 10", 13:1A and 13:1C in respect of contracts for the supply of services if the performance of the contract has begun with the consumer's agreement; before the end of the cancellation period.

However, we recognise clients can have a change of circumstance and therefore offer a cancellation policy only on services that do not compromise our intellectual property.

PROFESSIONAL CV SERVICE
This service consists of 2 parts: 50% Software and 50% Service. Therefore this product carries a 2-part cancellation policy:

Part 1 - Software Provision of the use of software is exempt from the distance selling regulations and this applies to our Skill Probe. All software is automatically unsealed immediately upon receipt of payment and therefore cannot be returned.

PART 2 – SERVICE Valid ONLY if work has not yet commenced, then if you *cancel this part of the professional CV Service:

i) Within 1 working day of purchase, 75% will be refunded.
ii) Within 4 working days of purchase 50% will be refunded.
iii) Within 7 working days of purchase 25% will be refunded.
iv) Cancellation any later attracts the full 100% Cancellation Fee.

*Cancellations are scheduled to the next working day, where cancellations are made outside of normal business hours.

REFUND TIMETABLE
Refunds agreed will be credited back to your card within 30 days of cancellation order.
